50 Years of Art Out West

This October, Westival celebrates fifty years of music, theatre, visual art and community in the West. It’s a milestone moment, and we’re building a programme that honours our history while looking to the future with fresh creative energy.

So far we’ve announced Niall McCabe, Matt Molloy and Ye Vagabonds at the Town Hall Theatre, alongside electronic innovator Christopher Coe at Bar 23, with much more still to come. We’re also proud to present Breda Burns’ new exhibition, adding a powerful visual art dimension to the celebrations. Expect unforgettable performances, surprises, and the kind of cultural magic that has defined Westival for five decades.

To mark the occasion, we’ve launched our new Friends of the Festival scheme. By joining, you’ll directly support artists and help secure Westival’s future for the next fifty years.
